QI LICENSE - LEGAL NOTICE The quadrics intersection software QI, version 1.0 of June 2004, hereinafter referred to as ``the Software''. In the sequel ``the Software'' means a run, a modification, a distribution or an integration of either the Software or of its generated files. The Software has been designed and implemented by Sylvain Petitjean (CNRS), Sylvain Lazard (INRIA Lorraine), Laurent Dupont (université Nancy 1), Daniel Lazard (université Paris 6), and Guillaume Hanrot (INRIA Lorraine). INRIA, CNRS, université Nancy 1 and université Paris 6, hereinafter referred to as ``the Owners'', hold all the ownership rights on the Software. The Software has been registered at the Agence pour la Protection des Programmes (APP), under reference IDDN.FR.001.430028.000.R.P.2004.000.10000. The Owners freely grant the right to use the Software for non-commercial purposes. Any use or reproduction of the Software to obtain profit or for commercial ends being subject to obtaining the prior express authorization of the Owners. The Owners authorize any reproduction of the Software in limits defined in clauses 9 and 10 of the Berne agreement for the protection of literary and artistic works respectively specify in their paragraphs 2 and 3 authorizing only the reproduction and quoting of works on the conditions that: - ``this reproduction does not adversely affect the normal exploitation of the work or cause unjustified prejudice to the legitimate interests of the author'', - ``that the quotations given by way of illustration and/or tuition conform to the proper uses and that it mentions the source and name of the author if this name features in the source'', - under the condition that this file is included with any reproduction. Therefore, any commercial use made without obtaining the prior express agreement of the Owners would constitute a fraudulent imitation. The Owners are assuming no liability, and should not be responsible, in any manner or any case, for any direct or indirect dammages sustained by the user.
